On Saturday 25 May, Düsseldorf signed a formal twinning agreement with the prefecture of Chiba in Japan. The cities have had friendly links for 15 years.
They’ll have to add another panel to the signs at the city boundaries listing Düsseldorf’s twins – but of course Reading, as the oldest, stays at the top,
The others are Haifa, Chemnitz, Warsaw, Moscow, Chongqing and Palermo.
